A small nation with a big soul and deep roots in the heart of Europe, Hungary is my first home. However, I have now lived in Canada longer than what I have spent growing up in Hungary. Despite that, I still have a deep connection to it. Every time I visit I find different inspirations in the things I took for granted when I lived there. It’s familiar but unfamiliar at the same time. This makes me sort of an outsider now and this both unsettles and encourages me to explore again and try to retrace my own relationship to the country.
